  • Adam Jensen age 23, of Springfield, died on Friday, Dec. 20, 2013, in rural Springfield. Visitation will be on Thursday, Dec. 26, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home, Springfield Chapel and will continue on Friday from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. Service will be held at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield on Friday, Dec. 27, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. The clergy will be Pastor Mark Luther Johnson. Interment will be at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. On line condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.
    Adam Lloyd Philip Jensen was born December 10, 1990, to Glenn and Anita (Sellner) Jensen in New Ulm. He attended and graduated from Springfield Public School in 2009. He was pursuing his degree in Ag-Business and Animal Nutrition at SDSU in Brookings, S.D. Adam loved life, giving hugs, and being around people; especially his best friend Nate Potter. He was involved in 4-H and FFA and enjoyed showing and raising shorthorn cattle. Adam's biggest dream was to develop Jensen Family Shorthorns into a successful cattle operation. Adam enjoyed hunting, fishing and football. He was employed with Running's, St. John Lutheran Home and had been an intern at Christensen Farms.
    He is survived by his parents, Glenn and Anita Jensen of Springfield; sister, Amanda Jensen of Springfield; grandmother, Catherine Sellner or Sleepy Eye; special friend, Elizabeth Kampa of Independence, Wis.; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
    He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Philip Sellner; paternal grandparents, Lloyd and Irene Jensen; uncle and aunt, Garth and Rita Jensen; uncles, Kelly Schroeder and Ron Hansen; and cousin, Joey Jensen.
