Norman H.Warwick , age 75, of Sleepy Eye, died on Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, at his home. Visitation will be on Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye and will continue on Saturday from 10 until 11 a.m. at the church. Service will be held at the New Hope Community Church, Sleepy Eye on Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at 11 a.m. The clergy will be Pastor Bob Jueckstock. Interment will be at the Home Cemetery, in Sleepy Eye. Military Rites by the Sleepy Eye Honor Guard. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. On line condolences may be left for the family at

Norman Harold Warwick was born June 5, 1938 near Amery, Wisc., son of Harold and Caroline (Peterson) Warwick. Norman graduated from Amery High School in 1956 where he played football. He enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served in active duty on the USS Soley, then three years in the reserves. On July 5, 1956, Norm and Marlys Morfitt were married and raised three children and two of Norm's sisters. While living in Wisconsin, Norm worked as a brick mason before managing various creameries in Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota, including AMPI in New Ulm for a total of 25 years. He was a maintenance supervisor at Haas Press (AUI) for 10 years, worked as a plumber, at a sawmill in Courtland and at Ace Hardware before retiring. On March 21, 1987, Norm married Monica (Marti) Mathiowetz and they raised three children and two sons of Monica's. He was a member of New Hope Community Church, served on the Church Board, an Elder and Sunday School teacher. Norm loved visiting, helping people, singing, playing cards, cribbage, Norwegian jokes, working and fixing things, fishing, hunting and football.

He is survived by his wife, Monica of 27 years; children, Ann Warwick, Gwen (Justin) Roiger, Daniel (Cassie) Warwick, all of New Ulm, James (Debbie) Warwick of Butterfield, Pamela (Alan) Krienke of Custer, S.D., Michelle Stoner of New Ulm, Linda (Van) Cunningham, Geralyn (Paul) Lindow; step children, Catherine Breiholz, Jeffrey Mathiowetz, Timothy Mathiowetz, Carrie (Vincent) Mueller, Kevin (Liz) Mathiowetz, Jonathan (Kelly) Mathiowetz; mother-in-law, Gertrude Marti; sisters, Karen (Pete) Peterson, Sharen Lachowitzer; and brothers, Laverne Warwick and Jan (Kim) Warwick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Brenda; wife, Marlys; and a granddaughter.
