  • Sleepy Eye athletes earn All-Academic honors

  • Several Sleepy Eye athletes have recently earned All-Academic honors.
     
    To be on the All-Academic Team, athletes must be a member of the varsity squad, have a GPA of 3.75 or higher, and be a sophomore, junior, or senior.
     
    For Sleepy Eye’s cross country team, junior Stephen Joyce and senior Mariah Salfer earned the achievement this year.
     
    For Sleepy Eye Public volleyball, sophomore Josie Schieffert, junior Bailey Anderson, and seniors Miranda McMullen, Carly Jensen, and Hanna Sellner made the Tomahawk Conference All-Academic Team.
     
    For St. Mary’s volleyball, juniors Becca Schmitz, Laura Pelzel, and Tori Anderson earned All-Academic honors, as well as seniors Lexie Weiss and Nikki Carr.
     
    Congratulations to all of these athletes for their accomplishments this year.
