55 Alive/Mature Driving starts Nov. 4
“Disney on Ice Passport Adventure” will be at the Xcel Center in December. Cedar Mountain Community Education is sponsoring a trip there on Saturday, Dec. 14 for the 3 p.m. show. Registration is needed by Nov. 15 to participate in this area event. Call 507-249-5990 to be included and with questions. Bus pick-ups are currently scheduled for Morgan, Franklin and Fairfax.

A few activities remain on the fall schedule of Community Education events. It will soon be time to start thinking about the winter-spring term. The advisory board will be meeting on Nov. 21 so welcome your ideas prior to that time.
For now, the following are things that are still available:
55 Alive Mature Driving on Monday, Nov. 4, 5:30-9:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1-5 p.m.Knitters on Friday, Nov. 1 and 22, 3:30 p.m.All Day Quilting on Saturday, Nov. 9 beginning at 8 a.m.Babies class on Saturday, Nov. 23 at 9:30 a.m.Computer Skills training on Mondays, 3:30-5:30 p.m.The Tuesday ECFE classes will be making up an October canceled class on Nov. 19. The Toddler class will not meet this week due to Halloween but will have three Thursday classes remaining in November. Two-year-olds meet until Nov. 18.
T-Time (second Tuesdays at 10 a.m.) continues on Nov. 12 with the topic being levies and funding for schools. These events begin in the Lindahl Room, which is part of the Sleepy Eye Schoola cafeteria. All are welcome to learn more about what is available to students today in the field of education. A new set of topics will be offered in 2014.

The Community Education office is located in Room 109 of the Sleepy Eye High School. School day hours are generally 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Since staff is part-time, they may not always be in the building.
