Parents of infants, childcare provider workshop planned
A workshop for parents of infants and child care providers will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 6:30-8:30 p.m. It is entitled, “Helping Build Baby’s Brain,” and will be led by Sally Dannenberg. Scientists know that the first five years of life are very important for building a baby’s brain. And that’s exactly what parents and caregivers do every day. Each participant will also receive a book and a special gift for the child. Enter Door #2 and the group will meet in the Lindahl Room. Continuing Education hours will be available.
The first class for families with babies will be held on Saturday, Oct. 12, 9:30-10:30 a.m. in Room 318. Our team for the Day of Caring was not needed this year due to lack of work in Sleepy Eye. There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer in New Ulm for those who wish to participate in this annual event.

The end time will depend on how many come to class, but be prepared with a sandwich as the group will work through lunch.
The final two renewal classes for 2013 will be on Monday, Nov. 4, 5:30-9:30 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 4, 1-5 p.m. A new set of classes will be scheduled for 2014, with new material and an increase in price.
