The Twin Valley Council Boy Scouts of America Annual Fall Cub Scout Recruitment Campaign, sponsored by Mediacom, is under way.
The annual program focuses on recruiting new scouts, while providing a fun way to learn more about scouting and introduce parents to scout leaders.
Parents interested in involving their boys in scouting should watch for a Cub Scout flyer in their child’s take home folder from school. The flyer will provide specific information about Cub Scout pack activities in their area on Sept. 17. New recruits can get a free Cub Scout camp out experience at one of the camp locations in Fairmont, Austin, Mankato or Sleepy Eye.
Parents are encouraged to visit the Twin Valley Council website at twinvalleybsa.org or call the BSA office at 507-387-3123 for information on joining Cub Scouts. The Twin Valley Council, BSA serves the counties of Blue Earth, Brown, Cottonwood, Faribault, Freeborn, Jackson, Le Sueur, Martin, Mower, Nicollet, Redwood, Renville, Sibley, Waseca and Watonwan.
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation’s largest and most prominent values-based youth development organizations. The BSA provides a program for young people that builds character, trains them in the responsibilities of participating citizenship and develops personal fitness.
