This was one of the many families who gathered Saturday to pay honor to their lost loved one at the Walk of Hope.

Participants began their walk around Sleepy Eye Lake at the sixth annual Walk of Hope on Sept. 14 at Allison Park.

Many showed up to raise awareness of mental health and the prevention of suicide in the community.

The Brown County Yellow Ribbon Suicide Prevention Program offered free information and support for participants at the Walk of Hope.

Several people were in charge of blowing up and handing out the yellow balloons for the walkers before the event. The signed balloons were released to remember those lost and those we can save.
