  • What inspired you to become a teacher?
     
    “I love working with people, especially children. I want to make a difference and have an impact in young people’s lives.” 
     
    What is most challenging as a teacher? Why?
     
    Allison said one of the most challenging things about being a teacher is trying to meet all of your students’ needs.
    “Everyone needs a different kind of attention and it can be difficult at times to make sure everyone is getting exactly what they need.” 
     
    What teaching moment is most memorable?
     
    Allison said anytime a students grasps a concept they have been struggling with is a memorable teaching moment.
     
    “I cherish those moments because you know how hard they have worked and it is great to see it finally click for them,” she added.

    Education: Allison graduated in May with dual degrees from Valley City State University and North Dakota State University in Elementary Education and Human Development Family Science respectively.

    Family: Husband, Robert, who works for Brown County, parents and siblings also live in New Ulm.
