Each week in the Herald-Dispatch you see another publication called the Southern Minnesota Peach. This publication is popular with the agricultural community because in contains quite a bit of advertising from that industry and the circulation is much greater with our Peach partner publications.
If you've noticed that publication, or take note of it in today's Herald-Dispatch, you'll see it is smaller in size than the newspaper and our local shopper, the Brown County Reminder.
Beginning Monday, Sept. 9, the Brown County Reminder will be going to that size publication as well.
Moving to that size makes it easier for people to hold the paper when it is open. Pages are a bit smaller and easier to scan for what you are looking for.
For the advertiser who wants to make their ad message really stand out as a full page or even a half page, the cost is more economical as well because you are not purchasing as many column inches for that space.
Front page advertising is prime and the cost again of the space is more economical as you are only purchasing 90 inches rather than 129.
We hope you will enjoy this new, more compact-size paper and support the businesses who continue to bring their advertising message to you via the Brown County Reminder.
Watch for the change in size to come Monday, Sept. 9.
Thought for the week:Nobody can really guarantee the future. The best we can do is size up the chances, calculate the risks involved, estimate our ability to deal with them and make our plans with confidence. – Henry Ford II
