Corn Days has come and gone and I don’t think there is a soul out there who wouldn’t agree with the success of it this year. Each year we ask God for great weather and He certainly delivered for the entire weekend.
As a committee member, we couldn’t have asked for better weather, spirits and teamwork. We also wonder from year to year, how we can top last year’s numbers? I haven’t seen any reports, but I would certainly hope we did.
The comradery during this once-a-year event is amazing. Everyone is pulling their fare share to make this a fantastic event for the entire community and surrounding area.
The corn was sweet and delicious. The hamburgers were sizzling hot and juicy, and everything else must have been as well because there were lines and more lines of people patiently waiting to get something to eat.
A special thank-you to our Chamber of Commerce Director, Trista Barka for pulling everything together this year. It was Trista’s first Corn Days and she did a great job of keeping things organized. Trista, we couldn’t have done it without your dedication and commitment to a great, annual, community event!
Thank you to everyone who visited Allison Park last Friday and helped us celebrate Corn Days.
