  • Anthony H. Krzmarzick, age 93, of rural Sleepy Eye, died on Thursday, August 8, 2013, at his home. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. and will continue on Monday from 7:30 until 10 a.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye. There will be a Rosary at 4 p.m., and a Prayer service at 7 p.m., both Sunday at the funeral home. Service will be held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, on Monday, August 12, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. The clergy will be Msgr. Eugene Lozinski. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, in Sleepy Eye. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. On line condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com
    Anthony was born on June 6, 1920 in Sleepy Eye, the son of Peter and Rose (Hengel) Krzmarzick. He grew up in rural Sleepy Eye and graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1939. Anthony married Dorothy Kral on August 26, 1947 in New Ulm, MN. The couple made their home on the Krzmarzick family farm in rural Sleepy Eye. Anthony and Dorothy would have celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary later this month. Anthony enjoyed farming, reading, dancing, playing piano and entertaining at area nursing homes. He especially enjoyed extended family gatherings on the farm.
    Survivors include his wife Dorothy of Sleepy Eye, children, Kenneth (Eileen) of Stewart, James (Diane) of Naperville, Ill., Peter (Connie) of Plover, Wisc., Michael of St. Cloud, Jerome of New Ulm, John (Deborah) of Broken Arrow, Okla., Patrick (Jacqueline) of Sleepy Eye, Sr. M. Donna of Crete, Neb., Lois (Keith) Ezzo of Caton, Ohio and Leon (Janine) of Chandler, Ariz.; 27 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and sister, Rosella Schaeffer of Worthington.
    He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Reverend Leo, Melvin and Roman; sister, Olivia Ganske; and grandson, Robert.
