Despite its controversy, marijuana has been credited with saving a 6-year-old girl’s life. Charlotte had frequent and debilitating seizures lasting between two to four hours when her mother decided to try something new: oil expressed from a particular strain of cannabis plant low in THC. Charlotte gets the oil twice a day in her food, and her seizures are virtually gone.

    Quote of note

"I want the people out there to know — including the mothers — that they can have strength, they can have hope, and their child will come back." — Michelle Knight, after the home where she spent 11 years held captive by Ariel Castro was razed Wednesday. Castro pleaded guilty last month to 937 counts, including murder and kidnapping.
