  • When is a summer snowstorm a welcome sight? When it's a Dairy Queen Blizzard® Treat!
On Thursday, Aug. 8, a portion of proceeds from every Blizzard Treat purchased at participating Dairy Queens® will be donated to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals as part of the 8th annual Miracle Treat Day. All monies raised by DQ operators in Minnesota and western Wisconsin benefit Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare, the nation's first hospital for children who have disabilities.
On Miracle Treat Day, participating DQ stores and restaurants throughout North America serve up a variety of tasty Blizzard Treats. Stores donate $1 per Blizzard Treat sold to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, a national organization committed to raising awareness and funds for children's hospitals. Gillette is Minnesota and western Wisconsin's Children's Miracle Network affiliate hospital. Last year, Gillette provided care to more than 25,000 children, including 83 in Brown County.
Participating DQ stores throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin raised nearly $200 million on Miracle Treat Day last year. The Dairy Queen system is one of the top 10 contributors to Children's Miracle Network Hospitals, raising more than $97 million (including more than $3 million for Gillette) since 1984.
