  • The Prairie Lakes Regional Arts Council (PLRAC) is pleased to announce the 21st annual Prairie Lakes Regional Juried Art Exhibition at the Arts Center of Saint Peter, 315 S. Minnesota Ave., St. Peter.
     
    Artists may submit their original work at the Arts Center of Saint Peter on Wednesday, Sept. 4, between 3 and 6 p.m. Two dimensional work may be accepted, however no three dimensional work. This includes: drawings, paintings, photography, printmaking and mixed media. Participation is open to all artists age 16 and over residing in the nine county area: Blue Earth, Brown, Faribault, Le Sueur, Martin, Nicollet, Sibley, Waseca or Watonwan County.
     
    Artists may go to the Prairie Lakes website, www.plrac.org and print off the entry form or call us at 1-800-298-1254. A $10.00 fee per entry will be charged for participation, with a limit of two works per artist.
     
    Over 60 pieces of artwork from artists living in the nine county area will be on display Sept. 13-Oct. 19. Gallery hours will be Tuesday-Friday 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 1-5 p.m. The public is invited to the Opening Reception–Saturday, Sept. 14, 1-3 p.m.
     
    The regional exhibition provides cash awards of $1,300: First place-$200, second-$175, third-$150, fourth-$125, fifth-$100, and 11 certificates of merit-$50 each.
     
    This event is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
