  • Lego Design Camp starts Monday

  • Quilters are invited to come to class on Saturday, July 27, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. We will be meeting in the Sleepy Eye School cafeteria. Bring an unfinished project or start something new.
    Two Lego Design camps are offered Monday, July 29 through Wednesday, July 31 from 8 a.m. to 12 noon for children entering grades 1-7. Space is available for this activity as well.

    Outings planned this month include the Minnesota State Fair on Monday, Aug. 26, which is Kids and Senior Citizen Day with discounted tickets available. On Thursday, Sept. 5, the Plymouth Playhouse will be visited to see “Church Basement Ladies in “The Last (Potluck) Supper.” Reservations will be needed by Aug. 15.

    Planning for fall term activities is under way. Any request for activities, classes and outings should be made in the next couple of weeks. Any volunteers to teach a class are also encouraged to contact this office. Events will be planned through December at this time.

    The Community Education office is located in Room 109 of the Sleepy Eye High School. Summer office hours are generally 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Since staff is part-time, they may not always be in the building. You can call and leave a message on voice mail, 507-794-7873, and we will get back to you with more information. Another option is to e-mail staff with questions and to sign-up. Addresses are on the school website.
