Three unidentified female juveniles were involved in an ATV accident Saturday, July 6 that resulted in injuries.
According to a report by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office, the accident occurred around 1:40 p.m. when the females were driving a class 2 four-wheeled ATV northbound on a field road on a farm in Prairieville Township in rural Sleepy Eye. It was reported the driver lost control of the vehicle and the ATV went into a drainage ditch and overturned with two passengers still on the vehicle.
The driver sustained facial and head injuries. The second passenger sustained a broken arm and head and neck injuries.
A third passenger on the back of the ATV fell from the vehicle before it overturned and sustained minor injuries. She was taken to Sleepy Eye Medical Center in a private vehicle, where she was treated and released.
The other two were taken by ambulance to Sleepy Eye Medical Center where the driver has been released. The passenger was taken by air ambulance to a metro area hospital and her condition has not been released.
Details of this accident are still under investigation by the Brown County Sheriff’s Office.
