In 2012 numerous businesses, organizations, families and individuals helped to complete Phase I and now it is time to complete Phase II.

Veteran’s Park will not only be a place to remember those who lost their lives fighting for our country and our freedoms but a place to honor those who continue to serve yet today.

Tuesday night on the evening news, an Army National Guard unit was returning home to their loved ones after serving 11 months overseas. Thankfully they didn’t suffer a single casuality during that tour. While they were returning home, another Minnesota unit was saying goodbye to their loved ones. While we recognize the sacrifices the soldiers make, military families also make a great sacrifice during their soldiers absence.
We pray there is never another name added to the Killed In Action Memorial that will be in Veteran’s Park in Sleepy Eye. The memorial wall will be a place to remember and honor those who served and are serving.

Your financial help in completing this amazing park in our community is greatly appreciated and will be a place of pride and honor to many. For more information contact Kurk Kramer at City Hall in Sleepy Eye at 507-794-5636 and watch for more information coming.
