I love dogs. Whenever I pass by someone walking their dog, I HAVE to pet it. Dogs always put me in a better mood. My girlfriend and I have a golden retriever which we named Pearl. Pearl is pretty cool, but she can be a handful sometimes, being that she is only 11 months old and over 70 pounds.

But what’s better than one huge dog roaming around my tiny house? Three huge dogs! My girlfriend’s parents have two dogs, which we are taking care of right now. Although it’s been a lot of work, it’s been fun. Having three dogs to play with is kind of like having a litter of puppies crawl on top of you and lick you to death, only the puppies are HUGE. I have been enjoying it, but it will be nice going back to just one dog this weekend. The air in my house is clouded with dog fur to a point where it’s almost hard to take a bite of food without swallowing a piece or two of fur in the process. The three have been shedding so much because of the hot weather and our lack of air conditioners. Poor pups.

Anyway, I should probably talk about sports. The NBA finals is finally coming to a close, after some pretty exciting games between the Spurs and the Heat. I have only watched maybe the fourth quarter of each game so far, but it seems as though most games have been pretty one sided depending on who is playing better. I am writing this on Monday, but I have no doubt the Heat will win game six and then the final game will take place today, June 20, where I am also going with the Heat. Miami will easily win game six because they’re back on their home turf, but I’m guessing game seven will be pretty close and fun to watch. It will be interesting to see what happens. I will feel incredibly stupid if it turns out the Spurs win game six by a blowout.

But what’s more exciting is the NHL finals. The first game between the Bruins and the Blackhawks was so fun to watch. The game went into triple overtime, only AFTER Chicago scored two in the third period to tie it up. The Hawks ended up winning 4-3. It was one of the best hockey games I have every watched, and I look forward to watching the rest of the games in the series. Although I don’t know too much about the players, I am predicting Chicago to win the Stanley Cup because it seems as though they have a physically stronger team, they have better control of the puck and they have better defense than Boston. I am also rooting for the Blackhawks because they are somewhat close to home.

Once hockey and basketball season is over, it’s finally time to look forward to football season! Yippee!
