  • "Learning to do, doing to learn, earning to live, and living to serve" is the motto of the Sleepy Eye FFA. Those twelve words make a large impact on the lives of many FFA members.

Over the course of the year, 57 Sleepy Eye FFA members have participated in the Adopt-A-Senior program with residents at Divine Providence, the Sleepy Eye Care Center, and Countryside Retirement Community in Sleepy Eye.

With the Adopt-A-Senior program, FFA members develop relationships with others of a different generation, helping the FFA members grow as individuals. The Sleepy Eye FFA chapter created and delivered cards for their senior citizen as well as providing prizes and calling the numbers for three bingo events this year at the Care Center and Countryside.

In addition, the Sleepy Eye FFA also had 10 members gather at the Care Center to plant flowers. "Living to serve" is the last part of the FFA motto and words that Sleepy Eye FFA members have been living by this year.
