  • Angela Rasmus, age 35 of Sleepy Eye died on Tuesday, May 21, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 23, 2013 from 5 to 8 p.m. and will continue on Friday at 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. Funeral Services will be on Friday at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye with burial at Christ Lutheran Cemetery in Cottonwood. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
    Angela Marie Rasmus was born on April 17, 1978. She joined her adopted family when she was two years old. She lived in Paynesville, for several years with her brother, Jamey and her parents Jim and Mary. She was baptized at Nordland Lutheran Church of rural Paynesville. In 1990 she moved to Sleepy Eye with her mother, Mary and brother - Isak. She was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church and graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School in 1997. After graduation she lived in MBW Groups Homes in New Ulm and most recently in Hope House in Sleepy Eye. She worked at MRCI Enterprise North in New Ulm. Angie enjoyed reading books, listening to music and making guests welcome at Hope House. Her greatest enjoyment was being with her family and friends.
    Angela is survived by her mother, Mary (Brian) Mulry; father, Jim (Martha) Rasmus; brothers, Isak and Reggie Rasmus; Brendan and Quinn Gaborik; nephews, Teigan and Taithan Rasmus; uncles, Greg (Ann) Isaackson, Clint (Melissa) Isaackson and Bob (Claudia) Rasmus; godparents, Jim and Shirley Lindemann; step siblings, Charity, Erin, Tim, Laura, Jill, and Ann.
    She was preceded in death by her brother, Jamey Paul Rasmus; aunt, Rae Winnicki; and uncle, Rod Rasmus.
