  • The New Ulm Country Club hosted the second Tomahawk Conference Tournament on May 7, where all nine Tomahawk teams came to compete on the par 70 golf course.

    The New Ulm Country Club hosted the second Tomahawk Conference Tournament on May 7, where all nine Tomahawk teams came to compete on the par 70 golf course.
     
    The Sleepy Eye Public girls team placed first in the meet, winning by a margin of 14 strokes. Freshman Lauren Laffen led the Indians with a score of 85, just two strokes away from the lowest score of the tourney for the girls.
     
    The Sleepy Eye Public boys took fifth place overall with a total team score of 403, with sophomore Wyatt Kosmatka leading the pack with a score of 93.
     
    For St. Mary’s, the boys team took third place while the girls finished seventh. Senior Kansas Adams shot a solid 85 in his round, which was just one stroke away from the best score for the boys. Freshman Ryan Heinrichs had the second best score for the Knights with a 91.
     
    Senior Mackenzie Schutz led the St. Mary’s girls with a score of 97.
