    The Thunderbirds hosted Sleepy Eye Public for a softball doubleheader on May 6.
     
    The first game didn’t go so well for the Indians. GFW scored nine runs in the third inning, while Sleepy Eye couldn’t muster up any runs at all in the game.
     
    Junior Carly Jensen pitched for the Indians and threw three strikeouts but allowed two walks and 11 hits.
     
    Game 2: SEPS 13, GFW 3
     
    Game two was the polar opposite of game one. The Thunderbirds took the lead early, but a strong fourth and fifth inning brought in 10 runs for Sleepy Eye.
     
    Junior Jamie Fischer went 3-5 at bat with two runs scored and three RBI to lead the Indians.
