The FBI believes police disrupted a "localized terror attack" planned in Montevideo, Minn., according to the Associated Press. Montevideo is about 130 miles west of Minneapolis. Authorities found Molotov cocktails, suspected pipe bombs and firearms in the mobile home of Buford Rogers. Rogers was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm. The FBI has declined to name the intended target of the attack, and credited the prevention of the attack to cooperation between local, state, and federal authorities.

"There are no winds of war." - Yair Golan, general commanding Israeli troops on the Syrian and Lebanese borders. Israel is believed to have made two airstrikes against the Syrian president's troops in the Barada River Vally and Qasioun Mountain, Reuters reports. At least 42 soldiers were killed and 100 more were reported as missing. Israeli officials said the attacks were intended to destroy Iranian missiles being transported to Lebanese Hezbollah militants.
