  • Students from the South West Minnesota Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA) met with their elected leaders on Thursday, April 11 for the Lutheran Coalition for Public Policy Change Minnesota’s (LCPPM) Day on the Hill.
     
    Those pictured include from left, Hannah Schroepfer, Sleepy Eye; Hannah Johnson, Springfield; Hannah Buysse, Cottonwood; Trinity Lutheran Church’s Youth Director Elizabeth Kolbe, Sleepy Eye; Senator Gary Dahms (R), and Pastor Stephen Rasmusson, Marshall.
     
    Students are forming a “Be The Change” team to combat social injustices locally and globally, and met to discuss issues of renewable energy and climate change with their elected officials.
