Green Week will kick off on April 22, 2013 at BIC APP with a full lineup of activities promoting resource conservation and recycling.
Activities for this year’s celebration include:
The Commute Green Challenge (April 22-26)
BIC APP associates are challenged to walk, run, bike, or carpool to work to promote environmentally friendly commuting practices. Did you know if you drive 20 miles less per week, greenhouse gas emissions are reduced by 1,040 pounds per year?
Book Exchange (April 22-25)
Books, magazines and cookbooks are exchanges throughout the week to encourage reuse. Any remaining books will be donated to a local nonprofit.
Recycling Stations (April 22-26)
Eyeglasses, hearing aids and sunglasses will be collected for Lions International. Cell phones, MP3 players, cameras, and empty ink jet cartridges will be collected for proper disposal/recycling by the Recycling Association of Minnesota.
Sleepy Eye Sportsman's Park and Lake Front Spring Clean Up (April 25 at 7pm)
BIC APP associates, family and friends will join in the clean-up efforts at the lake.
