  • Indians win first softball game of spring season

  • Before the most recent snow storm in the area, one softball game did actually take place on April 8 between the Indians and Cedar Mountain Comfrey.

    Before the most recent snow storm in the area, one softball game did actually take place on April 8 between the Indians and Cedar Mountain Comfrey.
    The Indians played well despite being on the road and the temperatures only being in the 40s. The Indians scored 12 runs through six innings and allowed only six hits for Comfrey. Junior Carly Jensen won the game on the mound by only allowing two hits.
    Meanwhile, senior Sam Krebsbach went two-for-three with three runs scored. Other key players include junior Jamie Fischer who hit two doubles, three RBI and one run scored. Also, freshman Kalyn Haas had two RBI while Jensen and sophomore Jamie Wells combined for four runs scored. Sophomore McKayla Ahlrich closed on the mound for the Indians, allowing only four hits.
    Head coach Tim Hoffmann commented that it was a good first game.
