  • Old man winter just won’t let go of his grip on us.

Tuesday schools were called off and Wednesday we awoke to, two-to-three inches of snow that weighed a ton when you tried to lift it or even push it. It is the kind they call heart attack snow. It sits there looking innocent until you try to move it.

People who are somewhat sedentary during the winter or otherwise on the mature side of life will attempt to move this snow and cause all kinds of issues. Pulled muscles, strained backs, bones out of joint and worse yet chest pain from the shear weight of the task they are trying to do.

    DON’T DO IT!

Don’t try to hurry the task or don’t do it at all. This snow is so very heavy you may need to actually hire someone to remove it properly for you. A back-up plan is a good idea, someone you can call in situations such as this is what is needed. Someone with the proper equipment who can help out.

Stay safe and stay warm! Spring is coming... it’s just delayed another week or two.

Thought for the week: A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. – Herm Albright.
