  • Three Sleepy Eye Public School girls basketball teams competed in the Region 3 Tournament in Redwood Falls on April 7.

  • Three Sleepy Eye Public School girls basketball teams competed in the Region 3 Tournament in Redwood Falls on April 7.
     
    The fifth grade girls won their pool and finished second to a Willmar team they had previously beaten. They now advance to the Pacesetter MIT Invitational Tournament June 16 in St Cloud.
     
    The eighth and ninth grade girls team finished second, falling to a Marshall team in the championship. On their way to the championship game they beat Redwood Falls and Red Rock Central in close games. They now also advance to the tournament on June 16 in St Cloud.
     
    Finally, the seventh grade girls repeated as Section 3 Champions as they defeated Cedar Mountain in their championship game. The girls won their pool by beating Cedar Mountain, Adrain and Eden Valley Watkins. They now advance to the Pacesetter Invitational State Tournament June 23 in St. Cloud.
