The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team will be in Sleepy Eye April 13 to play a wheelchair basketball game featuring local high school team members, alumni, and members of the community at 7 p.m. in the public high school gym.
The Southwest Minnesota State University wheelchair basketball team will be arriving in the community of Sleepy Eye on April 13 in order to play a wheelchair basketball game featuring local high school teams, alumni, and members of the community.
The event will be held at the Sleepy Eye Public High School gymnasium at 7 p.m. on April 13. A dinner will be available served at 5 p.m. in the Sleepy Eye Public High School cafeteria with the wheelchair basketball game to follow.
The Sleepy Eye Lions Club will be sponsoring the local event. Proceeds raised will benefit the SMSU basketball team, St. Mary's School and Sleepy Eye Public Schools.
The purpose of the event is to promote awareness and create youth and community involvement within the Sleepy Eye area.
Tickets are available at Sleepy Eye Public School, St. Mary's School, Americana Community Bank, First Security Bank, and the Sleepy Eye Southpoint Federal Credit Union as well as from Lion's Club members.
