On Tuesday, March 26, interviews for the Region VI Officer Team took place in Tyler.
Two applicants and two delegates from the Sleepy Eye Chapter participated in the process of electing a new officer team for our region. Being a part of the region team is a valuable experience as serving on an elite team of FFA members simulates working with others in a professional work environment, as well as offers opportunities to experience the benefits of FFA on a larger scale than the chapter level.
Representing Sleepy Eye FFA as voting delegates, both Josie Schieffert and Stephanie Hammerschmidt spent the day asking questions of the candidates, sitting in on interviews and finally, voting for the new Region VI Team.
Chapter and current Region VI President, Brandon Roiger, also played a large role in putting together and conducting the event.
The applicants from the Sleepy Eye FFA chapter were Chapter Secretary, Tiffany Ludewig and Chapter Historian, Katelyn Johnson. To reach this level, both officers had to be leaders in their own chapter, complete an application for Region VI Office and participate in the interviews held at Tyler.
Tiffany Ludewig was selected as Region Sentinel. When asked how she felt about being selected for region office, Ludewig said, “I am very happy about getting on the Region VI Officer Team. I look forward to getting to know my new officer team.”
The Sleepy Eye Chapter is proud of all those who participated in the event and looks forward to the leadership to come from Ludewig in the upcoming year.
