Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF) commemorates National Agriculture Week, March 17-23, 2013, and National Agriculture Day on March 19. This year marks the 40th anniversary of National Agriculture Week, which is celebrated in classrooms and communities across the country. The theme for Ag Week 2013 is “Generations Nourishing Generations.”
“National Agriculture Week provides us with an opportunity to share the story of agriculture at the local, state and national levels,” said Minnesota Farm Bureau President Kevin Paap. “Agriculture week allows us to show and discuss how food is grown and raised, and the role agriculture plays in providing safe food choices for you and your family.”
National Agriculture Week marks a nationwide effort to share the story American agriculture and remind citizens that agriculture is a part of all of us. A number of farmers, agricultural associations, students and government organizations involved in agriculture will be hosted throughout the state.
