The Sleepy Eye Indians boy's basketball team just couldn't do enough to pick up a postseason win against the Cedar Mountain/Comfrey Cougars on Monday, March 4th.
The Indian boys fought hard throughout the entire game against a team who has been scoring an average of 77 points every game they play. Sleepy Eye held the team to an all-time season low of 53 points in order to hang onto the game.
Despite the efforts of the Indians to refrain to the Cougars from a win, it wasn't enough as the Cougars went on to win at the buzzer, 53-47.
Coach Polesky will definitely miss the hard work of this year's team, "It's always tough when the season comes to an end, but this team gave everything they had and played a very good Cedar Mountain team tight to the very end. Our seniors were great to work with and I thank them for their hard work over the years, they will be missed."
