By the fourth and fifth days, it appeared that March was roaring in like a lion.
Sunday night into Tuesday around seven inches of snow fell in the area. It was enough to force people to get out their snowblowers to carve a path in sidewalks and driveways.
Sleepy Eye area schools closed early on Tuesday.
Residents awoke Monday morning to find that snowplows had buried their car along the curb and needed assistance digging the car out to get to work and school.
The snowfall was welcome news to snow removal companies like "Bopper" Heiderscheidt who was busy clearing alleys and streets and having some fun while he did it.
