Each month the Lions Club choses a senior high student to be featured as the Student of the Month. Jake Trebesch was chosen as February Student of the Month.

At Sleepy Eye Public High School Jake is involved in football, basketball, FFA and is a member of the National Honor Society.

In the community Jake regularly attends church services, enjoys hunting and fishing in his spare time and works on a dairy farm.

He said he is a hard working person who will work for what he wants.

“If I want something bad enough I will do whatever it takes to succeed,” Jake said.

The people who have had the greatest influence in Jake’s life are his parents.

“They have taught me everything that I have needed,” Jake said. “They are always there to help me whenever I need them.”

Following high school graduation, Jake plans to attend South Central College in Mankato to become an Ag Service Technician.
