Kiss meaning... keep it simple stupid, but I much prefer sweetheart. Keep it simple sweetheart.
I’m sure there are plenty of friends out there just waiting to see what my column’s topic is this week. They have their bags full of teasing and ribbing to be laid on thick. Guess we’ll just have to endure it this week.
If inquiring minds are wondering, dozens of roses and a diamond ring are just not expected on the gift list for Valentine’s Day and I’m not sure where everyone is getting that idea! Definitely not a thought I have put in their heads.
Everytime I am on the receiving end of a good dose of teasing, I simply say, “I don’t think so.” What love-struck, starry-eyed, gaga gushing youngsters may want and what is reality at my age are two totally different things.
Keeping it simple may simply mean the gift of undivided attention and time. A nice homemade meal topped off with a glass of wine and a bit of a sweet desert while relaxing ~ now that would be an ideal Valentine’s Day.
Although should the thought cross anyone’s mind to send flowers, I simply would be too kind to turn them away and not say “thank-you” with a smile.
So for you on-lookers and watchers of the day just waiting for someone to pop a question or tie the knot... to you I must simply say... “not happenin’!” Just k.i.s.s for Valentine’s Day.”
Thought for the week: Always do what you say you’re going to do. It is the glue and fiber that binds successful relationships. – Jeffery Timmons.
