The Minnesota Association of Farm Mutual Insurance Companies (MAFMIC) awarded it public policy award to Senator Gary Dahms on their annual day at the Capitol on Feb. 4.
The MAFMIC Government Affairs Committee chose Senator Dahms because of his chief authorship of SF 1934 last year.
“We really appreciate Senator Dahms’ foresight and willingness to carry this important piece of legislation,” said Mikey Nelson, MAFMIC Government Affairs Vice-Chairman.
“I am humbled to receive this award form the Minnesota Association of Farm Mutual Insurance Companies,” said Senator Dahms. “As a senator and having been an agent in the insurance industry for a long time, recognition of this kind from my peers is a real honor.”
The public policy award is given annually to someone who has been very supportive of the Farm Mutual Insurance Industry in the legislative or regulatory arena.
The Minnesota Association of Farm Mutual Insurance Companies is comprised of over 90 mutual insurance companies in the state of Minnesota.
