Alfred B. Braulick, age 83, of Sleepy Eye, died on Friday, Feb.y 1, 2013, at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center.
Alfred B. Braulick, age 83, of Sleepy Eye, died on Friday, Feb.y 1, 2013, at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center. Visitation will be on Monday, Feb. 4, 2013 from 4 to 8 p.m. and will continue on Tuesday from 7:30 until 10 a.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. There will be a Parish Prayer service on Monday at 7p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. Service will be held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, on Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. The clergy will be Msgr. Eugene Lozinski. Interment will be at the St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye. On line condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.
Alfred B. Braulick was born on September 3, 1929 in Lafayette Township, Nicole County, the son of Anton and Amelia (Berg) Braulick. He was united in marriage to Lorraine (Billmeier) Schumacher on September 3, 1960 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. Alfred retired from farming in 1987 and worked for Erickson's, Randalls and Cashwise grocery stores. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, a K.C. member, and a former member of the Eagles Club. Alfred enjoyed fishing, going to parades, collecting John Deere tractors, Sunday visits with family, watching Band Wagon and listening to polka music, and traveling and trips around the United States.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine of Sleepy Eye; children, Sandra Braulick of New Ulm, Dean (Audrey) Braulick of Hutchinson, Doug "Boomer" Braulick of Sleepy Eye, Amy (Jeff) Hoffman of Sleepy Eye; step children, Catherine (Virl) Nelson of Savage, Michael (Georgette) Schumacher of Wabasha, and Peter (Shelly) Schumacher of Sleepy Eye; 21 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; brothers, Harold Braulick of New Ulm and Roman (Phylis) Braulick of Sleepy Eye; sisters, Veronica Groebner of Sleepy Eye, Agnes (Bob) Gleisner of New Ulm, and Delores (Dennis) Franta of New Ulm; brother-in-law, Lyle Windschitl; and a sister-in-law, Adeline Braulick.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, David; brother, Edwin; a sister, Florence; brother-in-law, Valentine Groebner and a sister-in-law, Margaret Braulick.
