The Brown County Historical Society is sponsoring a Women’s History Luncheon on Saturday, March 16, at noon at Turner Hall.
Dr. Laurel Gamm will speak on her service with Doctors Without Borders at the Pediatric Ward of the only hospital in Carnot, Central African Republic.
The focus for this year’s event is to honor women from Brown County who have provided medical services to impoverished areas of the world.
Nominations of women to be honored should be sent to the Brown County Historical Society, 2 North Broadway, New Ulm, MN 56073, attention: WHL Committee. The deadline is Feb. 22. Nominations should include a brief description of their service and their contact information
Posthumous nominations will be accepted. Recipients must have lived in Brown County at some time.
Tickets for the luncheon are available by calling the BCHS at 233-2616 until the 15th of March. Cost of a ticket is $12.
