At Sleepy Eye Public Tia has been a four-year fine arts student involved in band and choir, theater and One-Act plays. She has been the secretary of FFA both her junior and senior year as well as secretary of the 4-H Federation and vice president of the Stark Happy Hustlers 4-H club.
In her church Tia serves as a Sunday School teacher and is involved in the In the Spirit choir.
In her spare time she enjoys showing horses and riding them and playing basketball, volleyball and golf.
Personal values that Tia feels will help her succeed are dedication and hard work. She says she has worked hard at everything she does and sets her goals high. She adds that succeeding at something is not a skill that can be mastered without hard work and dedication.
The greatest influence in Tia's life has been her mom, who has taught her to work for what she wants and to be an independent person.
"My mom has taught me life lesson that will influence my future," Tia added.
After high school, Tia plans to attend college to study sociology and hopes to earn a spot on an equestrian team.
