    At Sleepy Eye Public School, Matt was named Academic All-Conference in basketball and football and also plays on the baseball team. In addition, Matt is a member of National Honor Society where he is vice president, FFA and the high school play.
     
    Community Involvement
     
    In the community Matt is involved with the Adopt-a-Senior and Wee Deliver programs, volunteers his time at the Sleepy Eye Corn Days Farm Safety Booth and for the Day of Caring. In his spare times he enjoys playing sports and spending time with friends and family.
     
    Personal Values and Strengths
     
    A personal value that Matt feels will help him succeed is hard work.
     
    “I have a vision of what I want to do in the future, and by being a responsible person and working hard I will be able to reach my goals and succeed,” Matt said.
     
    Greatest Influence in Life
     
    The person who has had the greatest influence in Matt’s life has been his father, Pat.
     
    “His good work ethics have taught me to always perform at the best of my ability whether I am playing sports or doing my school work,” Matt said. “I would not be the person I am today without the good influence of my father.” 
     
    Post-Graduation Plans
     
    After high school graduation, Matt plans to attend college at South Dakota State in Brookings, S.D. where he will pursue a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Business Management.
