Maddy’s school activities at St. Mary’s School include volleyball, where she was named All-Conference in 2011 and captain in 2012; basketball where she was named All-Conference in 2010-11 and softball where she was named All-Conference in 2010-11. Maddy is also involved in band, Student Council, where she has served positions including president, historian and secretary, National Honor Society and is a member of the yearbook staff.
In the community Maddy is involved in CHAOS Youth Group, altar server, MDA Summer Camp counselor, Food For Kidz and is a blood donor.
In her spare time, Maddy enjoys reading and scrapbooking. Her work experiences include working at Brown County REA, St. Mary’s School and babysitting.
Personal values and strengths that Maddy believes will help her succeed include good leadership skills, a strong work ethic, a sense of responsibility and a solid faith. These qualities, she said, will help her succeed because with many new challenges comes a need for hard work and determination.
“I believe I can chase my dreams and growing up strong in my faith I know that nothing is impossible with God,” Maddy said.
Maddy said the greatest influence in her life aside from her parents has been her aunt Jill, who is Maddy’s Confirmation sponsor and a hardworking mother and wife.
“She sets a great example of what it means to carry on the faith by being a positive mentor,” Maddy said. “She has taught me to persevere in my faith, to enjoy life and go after my dreams.”
After high school, Maddy plans to attend college.
