Cyrilla was born on April 5, 1924, in Sleepy Eye to George and Julia (Hillesheim) Sellner. On September 17, 1946, she was united
in marriage to John D. Manderfeld at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. She lived on a farm southwest of New Ulm almost
her entire adult life. Cyrilla not only raised eight beautiful children, she was very involved in farming with a large poultry egg
production unit. Cyrilla was very social and tremendously enjoyed being an AVON representative for many years achieving several sales awards. Her goal was never to reach a sales record but to visit and talk with neighbors and friends. Cyrilla was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, Christian Mothers Society and the St. Anne’s Court of the National Catholic Society of Foresters.
