ECFE weekly classes have finished for the fall session and will begin in mid-January for all age levels. The Preschool classes continue during the day most weeks unless there are conferences or no school days. One activity remains on Thursday, Dec. 13, 6:30-8 p.m. in the Sleepy Eye Elementary gym and cafeteria. Families with preschoolers may participate in an Open Gym and other holiday activities like games, music and frosting cookies. Registration is encouraged to help staff prepare for the activities.

With the change in the weather and shorter days, more residents are taking advantage of walking in the school hallways. The only requirement is to secure a walking pass from this office and wear it while in the building. If you have your pass from last year, just call and let us know you are planning to walk again.
The winter athletic schedule is upon us and many evening activities will be held during the next month allowing the walkers to enter the building at later times during those events. On days without activities, the doors are locked by 6 p.m.

The Community Education office is located in room 109 of the Sleepy Eye High School. School day office hours are generally 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Since staff is part-time, they may not always be in the building. You can call and leave a message on voicemail, 507-794-7873, and we will get back to you with more information. Another option is to e-mail staff with questions and to sign-up. Addresses are on the school website.
