  • Hilaria “Lally” Schwab, 92, of New Ulm died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012 at her home in New Ulm. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 14 at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm with Monsignor John A. Richter celebrating the Mass. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 p.m. Tuesday and 7:30-10 a.m. Wednesday at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.  The St. Joseph/St. Elizabeth Catholic United Council and the Catholic Order of Foresters will pray the rosary at 6 p.m. at the funeral home and the Christian Mothers will pray the rosary at 4 p.m. at Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, both on Tuesday.     Hilaria Ann Beranek was born January 18, 1920 in West Newton Township, Nicollet County to Joseph and Katherine (Wendinger) Beranek. She was united in marriage to John Schwab on September 14, 1938 at the St. George Catholic Church.  She was a member of the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm, the Catholic Order of Foresters, the St. Joseph/St. Elizabeth Catholic United Council, and the Christian Mothers Society.  Memorials are preferred to the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity, the New Ulm Medical Center Hospice, or to donor’s choice.  www.mvfh.org.
    Hilaria is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Delores and Cletus Goblirsch of New Ulm, Edna Cook of Waseca, Diane and Gary Olson of Winthrop, Sharon and Lowell Kiecker of Fairfax, Terry and Dave Theis of Gibbon; son and daughter-in-law, John “Jack” and Sharon Schwab of New Ulm; nineteen grandchildren; twenty six great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Odelia Forst of New Ulm; and sister-in-law, Cecelia Beranek of New Ulm. 
    She was preceded in death by her husband, John, on December 1, 1990; brothers, Albert, Joseph, Robert, Benedict, and Francis Beranek; sisters, Agnes Forst, Edna Beranek; son-in-law, George Duetsch; and grandson, Perry Goblirsch.
