Registration forms for classroom Driver’s Education are available in the high school offices. Ten class times of three hours each will be needed to complete the state requirements. Classes have typically been held during the month of November. Next session will be during the month of March.

The trip to the Plymouth Playhouse on Sunday, Nov. 4 was canceled since the minimum number was not reached for the group pricing or to take a bus. The reservation was moved to April 4, 2013, to see “Ring of Fire,” a tribute to Johnny Cash.
Reservations are still being accepted for the Lundstrom Family Christmas on Saturday, Dec. 8 matinee.

During the month of November, veterans, spouses and dependents can take the AARP 55 Alive classes free of charge. Two renewal classes and one first time class have been scheduled in Sleepy Eye during the month. They will be held at the following times:
Renewal class on Thursday, Nov. 1, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
First time class on Monday, Nov. 12 and Tuesday, Nov. 13, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Renewal class on Tuesday, Nov. 20, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
Certificates are good for three years and provide a 10 percent discount on vehicle insurance.

A number of CPR/First Aid classes offered by the Sleepy Eye Ambulance Service will be held during the month of November. The first is Emergency First Aid on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 6:30-9 p.m. This class meets the daycare requirements. To register, call 507-794-3116.

Healthy Communities/Healthy Youth: Brown County is presenting a Haunted House on Friday, Oct. 26 for 1st-5th graders from 6:30-9 p.m. This is a free event held at 125 South Broadway in New Ulm. It will also be held on Saturday, Oct. 27, 6:30-9:30 p.m. for 6th-12th graders.
Pro Kinship for Kids is having a fundraiser at Happy Joe’s on Monday, Oct. 29, 5:30-7:30 p.m.
