  • The first Knitting and Crochet group numbered six. All skill levels are invited and with some more experienced than others, help is available to get started or figure out patterns. The group will meet Oct. 12 and 26 and the first three Fridays in November before taking a holiday break.

    United Way Day of Caring in the morning
     
     
    All Day Quilting class 8 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Sleepy Eye Schools cafeteria
     
     
    ECFE Babies class 9:30-10:30 a.m. in room 318 at Sleepy Eye Elementary School
     
     
    ECFE Fall Festival will be 2:30-4:30 p.m. at the Mike and Cheyenne Lax farm

    Early Childhood Screening on Tuesday, Oct. 16 beginning at 8:30 a.m., at Trinity Lutheran Church basement
    ECIP Training (Part 1) for day care providers on Monday, Oct. 22, 6:30-8:30 p.m., in the Sleepy Eye Schools cafeteria
     
     
    “Perfect Wedding” at the Old Log Theatre on Thursday, Oct. 25 (sign up by Oct. 16)
     
     
    55 Alive Renewal class on Thursday, Nov. 1, 5:30-9:30 p.m.
     
     
    “Christmas on the Ranch” at the Plymouth Playhouse on Sunday, Nov. 4 (sign up by Oct. 16)

    A number of CPR/First Aid classes offered by the Sleepy Eye Ambulance Service will be held during the month of November. The first is Emergency First Aid on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 6:30-9 p.m. This class meets the day care requirements. To register call 507-794-3116.

    Pro Kinship for Kids is having a fundraiser on Monday, Oct. 29, 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Happy Joe’s. All are invited to enjoy the buffet with proceeds going to Pro Kinship for activities throughout the county.
