Day of Caring has been a United Way tradition in Brown County for 15 years. Each year on a Saturday in October, volunteers help their neighbors and residents of Brown County do the kinds of chores that enable them to stay in their home another year.
This year Day of Caring is Saturday, Oct. 13 and we need more help. By lending a hand to help with raking, window washing and general yard work, you know that you have saved a senior from worrying how the job might get done. We also know that helping our seniors stay in their homes another year saves us taxpayer dollars because outside-of-home care is a lot more expensive.
So sign up to help. It will not only feel good to help, it might save money in the long run. Please call the United Way office at 507-354-6512 and let us help you sign up.
