For the thirteenth year in a row, residents of Sleepy Eye and the surrounding communities will participate in the National Life Chain, forming Sunday afternoon at the intersection of Highways 4 and 14. The Life Chain meets Sunday, Oct. 7, from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m.
In 2011, approximately 70 people took part in the event in Sleepy Eye. Area Christians are asked to join and pray silently for an end to legalized abortion.
Those attending will have the opportunity to hold a sign expressing their disapproval of abortion. The signs will be provided with prayer topics on the back. Everyone is welcome.
