Draper named scholarship semi-finalist

Stanley Draper of Sleepy Eye, a senior at Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School, has been named a semi-finalist in the 2013 National Merit Scholarship Program.

As such, he has fulfilled several requirements of outstanding academic success, official endorsement of faculty, essay writing skills and earned SAT scores that confirm academic knowledge and learning skills.

As a semi-finalist, Draper qualifies to continue in the competition for some 8,300 National Merit Scholarships worth more than $32 million and a title of Merit Scholar.
