  • 1. School Activities
     
    At Sleepy Eye High School John has been involved in football, basketball and baseball. When he’s not involved in athletic events John finds time for Knowledge Bowl and FFA, is a member of the student council and has represented his class as the class president.
     
    2. Community Involvement
     
    In John’s spare time he enjoys snowmobiling, lifting weights and working. He has held several jobs in the community including working at the Main Street Family Kitchen, Sleepy Eye Care Center as a nurse’s aid and at the Dairy Queen.
     
    3. Personal Values and Strengths
     
    He feels that his personal values of discipline and motivation will help him throughout his life.
     
    4. Greatest Influence in Life
     
    The person that has had the greatest influence in John’s life has been his dad, Denny, who he credits with making John the person he is today.
    “He taught me right from wrong and sent me on my way to a bright future,” John said. “He taught me to never give up on anything no matter how difficult it was and to always look on the bright side.”
     
    5. Post-Graduation Plans
     
    Following high school graduation, John plans to attend a four-year university and major in biochemistry and later become a doctor.
